75 year old retired steel worker Matthew stood in front of the mirror in the dressing room and admired the body he had just purchased.
It was an older model than he was originally going for but it was in good condition and had plenty of miles left in it.
He struggled into clothing provided.
He walked on steadily on the high heels he was wearing out of the fitting room and down to the main office where he collected his modified identity bank cards driving license and other documents he would need to carry on his life.
He left the body swap auction and climbed into a taxi and headed home.
Which was now a small apartment as he had sold everything he had worked hard for to buy a second lease on life.
He was surprised and slightly annoyed to find his son and daughter waiting outside the small apartment.
Of course they did not recognise him and fought for a moment that this was their elderly father's new gold digging girlfriend who had made him changes life so drastically.
They were shocked and horrified to find out what he had done and why he had done it.
He wanted a second chance at life and to try something new.
He wanted them to stop waiting for him to die so they can have his money.
His son and daughter stormed out saying as they did were never going to talk to him again.
He was slightly upset that they could not accept his decision and be happy for him.
He would miss them but he knew he was embarking on a whole new life and a whole new adventure.
The first thing he had to do was find himself a new job to pay for his new life as the 4,000 pounds he had left in the bank account was not going to last him long.
He picked up the classified paper and started flicking through it looking for a job he could do but then he put it down and said that it can wait to tomorrow and headed off to try out his new body in the shower and find out if all the videos he had watched in his life were true and the shower head was a good way of getting yourself off.
