After recovering as far as possible from his life-changing injuries he spent most of his time alone in his room angry and depressed.
Not wanting anybody to see him the way he was now he turned to the TV and the Internet for company where he grew an unhealthy attraction to a young actress Britt Robertson.
One night out of it on antidepressants he prayed to anybody who was listening that he would give his immortal soul just to be out of his wheelchair and with Britt Robertson.
A small troll-like creature appeared before him in his room and said I will grant your wish and give you 20 years together but after that, you're mine OKAY!!!.
The next morning he thought was just an elucidation until out of nowhere Britt Robertson appeared before him in his room saying as she did so I can help you to live a normal life again.
