Steve had no idea why the picture of his best friend Alex's grandmother when she was in her 20s back in 1955 held such fascination for him.
He found himself getting more interested in the history the music & the films and the culture of the 1950s.
He found himself wishing that he lived in the 1950s.
The next time he was at his friend's house he picked up the picture of his friends grandma and wished with all his heart that he could live in her time.
Something out there must have been listening to him as he felt himself go dizzy.
He closed his eyes to stop the room from spinning and when he opened them he was standing in front of a handsome young man who was just about to take his picture & who made his heart beat faster.
His wish had been granted but not exactly like he had hoped for.
He was now his best friends grandma.
He was living in the 1950s.
Which was a very restrictive time for women who did not have the same rights as men and did not get the same pay.
But that did not bother him as he had more things to worry about.
Like marrying his best friends Grandad & getting knocked up with his best friend's mother.

Hi could you do a lengthy caption around a guy who always wished to be like his mother when he grew up. He saw her as she would get ready for a night out, used to be taken with her to the ladies changing room when he was little, saw her a couple of times in the shower - and realised he needed to be like her, a woman, but couldn't as he was a boy.
