Could you make a story that a old hobo has a second chance in life, so he reincarnated as a divorced mom who had died moments ago because of a heart attack. He pretende being this woman for people doesn't suspect a thing, in special her kid. So "she" patiently played "The mom thing" to have some solo time, after her son comes to school.
