Everybody was surprised at how skilled and knowledgeable the deceased Alan's niece was at the job.
They guessed he must have been teaching her for years.
She did not need much instruction or teaching.
She knew how to do the job as well as any of them.

The work was tougher and more physically demanding in her body than it was in his but he was just happy to be back doing what he loved.
The only real downside was the way the men treated him now.
Before they were friend buddies and drinking partners now he was just the niece of somebody they used to know.
