Bounty Hunter Daniel took a deep breath and step into the portal.
He felt the familiar cold sensation come over him and then he found himself in a different body in a different time in a different place.
He could tell instantly he was in a female body.
He could by the clothes he was wearing the devastation around him and the sounds and smells he was England during the Second World War.
He had no idea what body his target was travelling in.
He was determined to hunt him down.
He made his way to the technology drop.
He picked up by the hand scanner and started looking for his targets energy signature.
He was wearing a strong signal when air raid sirens went off around him.
He was offered into the underground for protection.
As he sat in the Underground station a piece of masonry became dislodged from the ceiling and crack him on the head.
He awoke 7 hours later with his head bandaged and no idea who he was.
According to the identity card in his purse he was a Miss William Black, 24 years old.
By the the time his memory came back he had been married 23 years and had 4 children with the young man who had helped helped him after he had been knocked unconscious.
He remembered what the strange object they found his purse was and what it did.
He pulled it out of the box at the back of his wardrobe and scan the room.
He was surprised that it's still functioned after all this time of inactivity
He was even more surprised when it little red when his husband walked through the front door and chatted honey I'm home
Somehow he had bumped into his target falling in love and married him.
He had his children and said of a life with him.
He turn the device off put it back in the box.
He straightened his dress and checked his hair in the mirror before heading downstairs and giving his husband a loving kiss.
He said I've washed and put the kids to bed they're waiting to get your goodnight kiss.
As his husband had it upstairs to say goodnight to the kids
He went into the kitchen to fetch his husband's dinner & he thought to himself what's the point of renewing a good thing just a catch an outlaw.
Bounty Hunter Dainels never liked going cold for a time jump, he usably like several days to prepare for a time jump. But this time, he had a few short hours.
ReplyDeleteEach time he enters the portal, there were myriad of lights, problem sound. When he is vision started to clear up. His body felt different, he was different, he was in a body of twenty-something girls, a young woman. How tell one is how he dressed, to everything felts different, like he wasn't a guy at the moment. He never like this at all those done it dozens of times. It still felt off about it.
He looked about to see his coordinates, about the second quarter of the 20th, about England, London, I guess about the late thirties or early forties, I guess. The Second World War. Then he walked to the spot he/she get the special to track his quarry. Unfortunately, he didn't get enough information on who or what person was.
As he was going to find that device and returned him back to the present, like always did.
He wasn't a researcher, or archeologist. He was a hunter. He remember that there were stories , that time wasn't it suppose to be that time travel was part of making history. But he never cared about such things. He was born in the late 21th century, he was glad it. Then this story, his grandmother told him once that her grandmother history mystery herself. It was strange that he thought that old story she told him. As he got the device to find his quarry. Then it happen the siren started sound, he needed to get a underground bunker.
As he started to go to the bunker some pieces of concrete and brick felt on him. Then he passed out. A few weeks later he woke up, he felt strange like he didn't know anything. He can do some algebra, some calculus, The only thing that was a clue to her identity card was William Black, age 24 years ago. And that was it.
Thou William was odd at best, she do algebra and calculus, some programming, but how to cook and dress like girl was Boyoung her. The doctor figure her injuries effected her mind. Thou her the learn to dress like girl again. They used her skills. Then the 1945's she got married, then a few years later, had kids. About the early 60's William was working part time as secretary/ programmer.
Then her memories started to stir to the surface, for her memories and her former memories, then she remember something important. Something important, then she remember a strange device. Then she active it. The person she after was the person she married to for last 23 years. She could used it, The problem was the story was that time travel was the cause history. Specially her own history so why create more problem, she thought, she thought, This my life now.
