Albert wanted to developed technology, his theories, his ideas sound, his math seem correct. But there was the possibility were slim. But why did he feel a bit nervous. Probably nerves he will be the first person to enter the portal and travel a distance away. The first jaunt will be into the other side of the building. As he entered the portal a sudden surged of power. The moment he did, he went threw, nothing seem to happen.

When he existed the other side, he was in sorta Victorian bedroom. Well the building was built then.
But what happen next was stranger than exited a portal. As he turned to looked at the mirror. He saw this woman in sorta bed clothes. He said excuse me. Then he realized he was her speak. Before he turned around the portal cave with-in itself. He turned around to find some clothes to wear. He noticed the clothes looked Victorian in style and nature. But not looked sorta steampunk in style, when he picked them up and started dressing his self in the clothes. It was like he did it hundreds of times before.
As finished dressed he looked like a girl in steampunk fashion. Was it a costume of sorts, but when he looked around there things that didn't really belong there, like the odd, fixer or objects in here. Then he looked outside, then he knew, he travel serval yards and into another world , no another reality. A world of steampunk there they re-build where world by late 19th century or maybe early 20th century.
Albert try to figure it out. One he is in Steampunk type of world, two there technology seems to be different, three they have electricity power, but not on high level. Four he is a girl. If and he means different, how he be treated as smart girl in a steampunk world. he has to start to develop a steampunk version of the portal if wants to return to his world. So he has to start to study there technology, and try to create it here. If he can. There was several other question why is he a girl. Why did he know how wear these clothes. Who is she , is she, his alterity self here. And what there history is for last century or so.
