Anthony was angry, no enraged, that he was accused of murder, he didn't commit. All the evidence states that he was in the area, but that didn't proved the fact that he did it. But all the evidences was a shade of gray. Which means that he fits the right profile, but not the cause, which he's been saying until the day of he execution.

So he decided on the slowest death possible. Food poisoning was a good idea, hmm bad clams or oysters was good idea. So given him a some bad oysters. After burying a batch of oysters and put them in a bag. After nearly three days, he figure it was really, to be served to him. So he treated him to a romantic even together.
He forgot to shave his underarms, but for some reason he did care. They had a night of passion.
About 3 and half days the warden died of shellfish poisoning.
Did Anthony feel sorry, no he didn't not, he was a killer he killed many women. Which was bad what was worst for him, that he didn't throw the switch to kill him. But he might have done it.
