Dominic had always been into heavy metal music.

The latest band he was besotted by was the Russian metal band Arkona.

When he heard they were coming to play in Scotland he was one of the first people on the site to buy tickets.

He could not wait to see them live.

He counted down the days getting more excited the closer it got.

Finally it was the day of the concert.

He packed his rucksack with just the Bare Essentials and headed off to his local railway station where he caught the train to Scotland.

He met on his way up there half a dozen fans of the band.

They hung around with each other until it was time to go to the concert.

He presented his ticket to the security guard and took his place near the stage.

He could not believe how much better the music sounded live.

After the concert he used his backstage pass to meet the band.

He was mesmerized by the beauty of Maria Arkhipova who happily signed his ticket for him.

He went back to his hotel room that night feeling like he was on cloud nine.

He got drunk on cheap vodka and fell asleep on the bathroom floor.

He awoke the next morning feeling incredible.

He found he was no longer in his cheap run down hotel room but in the middle of a beautiful clearing.

He listened to the birds singing and smelled the sweet smell of the grass in the air.

All the while unaware of the transformation that had happened to him.

Unaware that he was now an exact copy of Maria Arkhipova.

He was unaware that he was now back in time.

He was unaware that he was a shield-maiden and the wife of a Viking leader who the real Maria Arkhipova was only too happy to get away from and had with black magic had come to the future where she had made a name and a life for herself which she did not want to give up.

Which meant she had to find a replacement she could turn into her twin to send back in time to live out her life span while she lived out there's in the future.
