Reanimating

Tony sat in the reanimation chamber wondering what had happened to him.

It took a few seconds for his brain to catch up.

He remembered the bulkhead giving way after a meteorite strike.

He remembered passing out due to lack of oxygen.

He remembered the warm embrace of the reanimation chamber bringing him back to life.

He put his legs over the side of the table and sat up.

He felt completely different.

He felt smaller, lighter & different in some way he could not put his finger on right then.

Then he looked down his body and everything came clear.

He knew now why he felt different.

For some reason the reanimation chamber had made him into a woman.

He sat there trying not to panic as he took it all on in.

It was only when the medical officer came in to check up on him that he found out that his body was too badly damaged by the lack of oxygen and the intense cold of space.

So the best he could do with the body scanner on board was to rebuild his body from the molecular level which came with a few side effects.

The main one being change of gender.
