Jason didn't mind giving people a bit of a show as he paused to shake the sand from his heels, wedged in the sand. The walk from the beach back to the hotel along the boulevard had become an event in itself.
Exchange Island was supposed to be a place where people let go of their inhibitions and embraced a more relaxed, carefree version of themselves. After a week there, Jason had discovered he enjoyed that freedom far more than he had expected.
His flowing dress swayed in the warm evening breeze as he continued down the promenade. Curious glances followed him, but he didn't seem to notice. Or perhaps he did and simply didn't care. Either way, Jason wore a contented smile that suggested he had stopped worrying about what others thought long ago.
