He couldn't shake his uncertainty about the elaborate garments selected for him. The corset, with its constricting embrace, felt foreign against his skin, while the layers of petticoats were both cumbersome and awkward to manage. With every tug and adjustment, he found himself grappling with the discomfort of these historical undergarments, while the thought of embodying a character from the past both excited and intimidated him. The idea of trading modernity for the intricacies of Victorian life loomed large over the next two weeks, and he questioned whether he was truly ready for the adventure that lay ahead.
