Carl was trapped in the past, in the body of a beautiful young woman, and, attempting to recreate the invention that had transported him there and into another person's body, using limited, outdated equipment.
There he was part of Carl pride of it working the time device worked, but for it what , he imagined, he was now in a body of beautiful woman , who was about in her twenties , in a time that woman scientist was rarer , and few , so Carl had to created sort time device, with technology that could work, but it Carl needed to a place and space to create a portal to sent him back to his time, but science and technology, needs to be refined to a microchip , and if Carls right, he/she is still about 10 or 15 years to be possible, plus Carl had to work as assistant to scientist and engineers , and be careful
