Michael had never felt as close to anything in life as he did to the baby growing inside him. Unlike many men who found themselves in the bodies of pregnant women due to the effects of the great ship, he was happy and content to be a pregnant woman. There was something about this woman's body that made him feel like this was who he was meant to be. He didn't care about the pain and challenges of giving birth or that he lacked experience as a mother and a woman; he was confident he would find a way to make it all work.
