After the divorce, Tommy's mother left him home alone more and dedicated herself more to work. But recently, she stayed home more, took good care of him and didn't seem tired. Sometimes, Tommy would catch her half-naked in the pool and talking to herself in a male voice. He put "her" on the wall and asked what was going on. His "mother", now in a male voice, said that she wasn't his real mother but that she was his mother from the heart. Tommy's real mother moved after the divorce and left her neighbor to take care of Tommy. Since he was a shapeshifter, he took over that role completely, and had memories of the original one. To be honest, the boy preferred the shapeshifter impostor as a mother.
