Despite everybody warning him to prepare for this day 16-year-old Sam had to go to the school nurse when he started spotting halfway through class.
He felt so embarrassed asking the nurse for pants.
He felt even more embarrassed when he asked her how to use them.
He had not paid any attention to anything his mother had been trying to tell him about his new body and gender.
The nurse gave him pamphlets, advice, and sanitary pads and told him to be more prepared next time.
