16-year-old Tommy was a little bit upset his mother and father divorced and were both always ignoring him.
He supposedly felt this out Christmas wherever his parents wanted him.
He did odd jobs around the neighbourhood to make money and hung around them all not wanting to go home as it was Christmas and he was all alone once again his mother coming off of her new boyfriend and his father did not want him cramping his style.
As he wandered through the proudly deserted mall he bumped into the mall Santa who turned out to be Mr Jones his neighbour who did the lawn.
Mr Jones offered Tommy a ride home.
As they sat together in his battered old pickup Mr Jones still dressed as Santa the boy poured out his heart to him and how sad he was.
Mr Jones looked at him for a second and then handed him a shiny gold coin.

Just then Mr Jones pulled outside Tommy's house and wished him a Merry Christmas.
Tommy went indoors put in a frozen pizza in the microwave and watched an hour of wrestling before going to bed.

He placed the coin on his pillow and made a wish before falling asleep.
Here woke the next morning to sounds coming from downstairs.
Gingerly he climbed out of bed and headed downstairs.
