Josef had always had a secret thing for the Gilmore Girls.
He had always fantasized that one day he would live in stars hollow and get to know Rory and her mother Lorelai.
As was his tradition on his birthday he always made the same wish: I wish I lived in stars hollow ... I wish I lived in stars hollow.
Something strange happened this time.
When he opened his eyes he found himself no longer surrounded by his family blowing out his candles.
He found himself sitting in a kitchen at a little wooden table he recognised.
He looked up from the piece of cake he was now eating and saw Lorelai Gilmore looking at him.
Somehow his wish had come true in a very strange way.
Somehow his wish had turned him into Rory Gilmore and put him in a world where the Gilmore Girls were real.
He did not panic scream or shout at this realisation as he was happy to be her and just went back to eating the cake.
