The music the culture the people and especially the free love aspect of it all.
So when he found himself falling into a time Vortex which mysteriously opened up in the middle of his bedroom floor which read his mind and sent his consciousness back in time to the time period he love the most in the world he was overjoyed especially when he discovered the body he was now as it meant he would have no trouble getting plenty of that free love he had heard so much about.
