She was in serious financial trouble and needed to escape from her debts but with a face that everybody recognized there was nowhere to hide so she had no choice but to get rid of her body.
Which wasn't hard to do.
All she had to do was hang out at a local bar and wait for the perfect woman or man to come along get them drunk and get them back to her place & then get them to agree to swap with her.
luckily or unluckily depending on how you looked at it Jacob was that person who ended up in her body with her life with her problems which he saw as a small price to pay for be coming his dream girl.
