Swimming not allowed.

Scott was told not to go swimming in the water as it would make him very sick if he did so as it was full of pollution and waste from the nearby factories.

But nobody told Scott what to do so he stripped off and dived in.

The water was cold and made his body tingle and feel completely strange 

But it was only when he pulled himself out he noticed what the water had done to him.

Which made him sit down unsure of what to do next.
