Alan refused to give her what she wanted unless she signed that she relinquished alrights to a divorce settlement which would leave her penniless and broke.
So Sarah had little choice but to go outside the law and seek an alternative.
She was toying with the idea of having him bumped off.
When an alternative came out of the blue one night whilst she was watching the David Letterman show an advert for a gypsy fortune teller flashed on the screen.

She did not know why she picked up the phone and dialled the number on screen and made an appointment to see her.
She told her all her problems and even the drastic things she had considered.
The old Gypsy told her she could help her and it would only cost her her & husbands wedding rings.
So two nights later with both rings in her pocket she went back to see her.
The Gypsy took both rings off her and told her in the morning her husband would give her everything she wanted a fair and equal divorce.
Which to her amazement was what happened.
She just did not know how the Gypsy had managed to change his mind.
If only she had known the truth though.
That her husband was now in the body of a prostitute unable to stop himself from doing what he needed to survive even though it disgusted him to so.
