Curiosity killed the cat.

Jeremy like a lot of lads in his village wondered where all the young women went on the summer solstice.

All they knew was that they came back the next day tired and exhausted.

No matter what they did they could not find out what they got up to.

So the next year Jeremy decided he would try and follow them & see what they got up to.

His friends thought he was crazy just for considering it.

Which just made him more determined to prove that he could.

He waited to all the girls were on the bus and half way out of the village before hopping on his bicycle and racing after it.

It was hard work keeping up with the bus even with his short cuts and knowledge of the local area.

Once or twice he thought he had lost it only to spotted going in the opposite direction to where it should have been.

He felt like it was playing a game of cat and mouse with him.

But finally it pulled up outside an old manor house 2 hours after leaving the village tired and exhausted and barely able to carry on Jeremy ditched his bike in a hedge and climbed over a low wall.

He stuck to the hedgerow until he was out of sight of the house.

He came to a slight hill that overlooked the ornate gardens of the manor house where he witnessed the girls dancing naked around a fire and chanting in some strange language.

As he turned to head back to his bicycle something heavy hit him on the head and everything went black.

When he awoke he discovered next year he would not have to sneak about to see what they got up to.

As he discovered lying on the cold slab surrounded by candles he had now somehow become a young woman himself which made him scream his lungs out.

Even after they explained it to him it's still sounded far-fetched.

Every woman in the village was a witch and that it was a great sin for any man to watch them at their celebrations and this was the punishment for doing so and there was no way of ever going back.
