Carl felt the great shift had ruined his life.
He could not believe he was having to pay for somebody else's mistake.
He felt like everybody was staring at him as he stood in front of the school bus waiting to board.
He was not at all in the mood for going back to high school as a pregnant teenage girl instead of his usual self.
But he remembered what his mother said as he stood there looking out at all the other students
Things could have been a lot worse and looking at quite a few of the other students he saw how lucky he was.
Apart from being pregnant his new body was in pretty good shape which made him feel better until the baby kicked him in the ribs just to remind him it was there.
