Maiden.

Alan stood underneath the tree and let the cool spring mountain water run out of his makeshift shower and all over his hot and sticky body.

The minute the cool water hit his head and trickled down over his body he felt calmed, revitalized.

It was the most incredible feeling he had ever felt in his life.

It wasn't until he opened his eyes that he notice the changes that had happened to him.

Which thanks to the calming nature of the water did not bother him as he stood there underneath his makeshift shower radiating femininity and for the first time in his life feeling at peace with the world and himself.

How was he supposed to know the spring where he got his water was enchanted.

If only he could have read Welsh or the locals had put the sign in English.

He would have understood the warning:

A oedd yn datgan yn eglur os bydd dyn oedd golchi â dŵr byddai'n dod yn forwyn y coed gyda gofalgar a meithrin natur tuag at yr anifeiliaid a'r coed.

Which plainly stated if a man was to wash with the water he would become a maiden of the woods with a caring and nurturing nature towards the animals and the trees.
