Prison was his salvation.

Will sat in his prison cell staring down at the adoption document in front of him which caused him to think back over what had brought him to this place and left him in this situation.

Overnight he went from a 25 year old man to a 22 year old woman which caused him to have a nervous breakdown which inevitably led to him losing his job and home and due to his proud and stubborn nature he did not want to rely on anybody for help.

Which made things even worse as he could not cope with being a woman and homeless so he turned to the bottle which led him into prostitution to fund his habit which intern got him arrested for solicitation which would have just been a misdemeanor if he had not assaulted the arresting officer.

But in some ways prison was the best thing for him.

They had special counselling sessions for men who found themselves in women's bodies and incarcerated and after a routine checkup he discovered he was pregnant but due to the alcohol he consumed and the vast number of men he had slept with he had no idea who the baby's father was.

So now he was a pregnant woman incarcerated for prostitution and assault and looking at almost 5 years before he would be free which meant giving up his baby.

If they had given him this document eight months ago he would have signed it without thinking but he had grown to love the thing growing inside of him and could not see his life without it.

But luckily for him this was his first offence and in the seven months he had been in jail he had been a model prisoner so after the baby was born he was released on licence and he is now living happily back home with his mother and father who are now helping him raise his child and stay out of trouble.
