Conduit.
Edward could not believe he was a 35 year old woman with two children and a husband who was always away in the army as every now and then he got flickers of his old life breaking through into his subconscious while he slept.
He tried to ignore the nagging feeling that he used to be somebody else.
As everything was so different in his life now but he was constantly busy taking care of the house & the 2 children which were and were not his and taking care of his husband's demands and needs when he returned home which for some reason seem natural and normal.
But he secretly did research into what he saw in his dreams everything on the surface seems the same but there was slight differences now & as far as he could tell he had always been a woman.
His mother and father were the same but instead of having a brother he had a sister and instead of being born male he was born female he just could not work out what was going on as he thought back over his life remembering his first day at school as a boy and also remembering it as a girl remembering when his balls dropped but also remembering when he got his first period.
Which just seemed to give him a headache when he tried to sort out the jumble of facts in his head.
He remembered living alone as a man but he also remembered the first day he met his husband the first date they went on, the day he proposed to him, the wedding and honeymoon and giving birth to both children but at the same time remembering sleeping around with many different women and just living the bachelor lifestyle.
If only he knew there was a 35 year old housewife in his 35 year old male body trying to cope with the fact that she was now a man who was never going to see the kids she gave birth to again or even her loving husband as she slowly went off the deep end and ended up incarcerated screaming that somebody had stolen her life and her name was not Edward Phillips but Emily Munro.
Which would explain a lot to both of them if they truly understood that they both had fell through a crack in the fabric of space & exchange bodies with each other and they were both now in different parallel universes with no way of ever returning.
