Neck Brace.

Frank sat in the doctor's office hoping today was the day he could get this damn neck brace off.

He sat there thinking back over what had happened to him and how lucky he was in reality.

He was one of the people injured in the great shift.

He swapped bodies with a 35 year old woman who was driving back from the office.

He did not know if it was due to the silly high heels he was now wearing or the state of panic he was in but he just could not control the car and crashed into a wall.

He woke up several hours later lying in a hospital bed with an I.V in one arm and unable to move his neck.

But the biggest thing to surprise him was the painted fingernails and the long blond hair in his eyes as memories of his crash slowly came back into his mind.

He asked the nurse what was going on where was he & why did his voice sound so high pitched and feminine?

The nurse did not know what to say and said by your questions I take it that you are not miss Cynthia Caldwell.

He shouted back feeling a little bit frustrated do I look like a Cynthia Caldwell my name is Frank Whitaker and I am a man not a woman.

The nurse just smiled and said well from where I'm standing you don't look much like a man as she turned and left the room leaving Frank to wonder what she meant by that.

But it all came obvious and clear to him when he needed to use the loo and they brought him a bedpan and he discovered that he had somehow become a woman which really freaked him out.

The nurse did her best to explain to him what was going on and that a cosmic event had cause 90% of the earth's population to swap bodies & genders and that he was now a woman.

The doctor explained to him that he had only torn and bruise several muscles in his neck and he would have to wear a neck brace for the next 7 weeks and asked him was there anybody he wanted them to contact?

They found him some suitable clothes to wear and discharged him the next morning after they had contacted his wife who was unaffected by the event and Frank started the long road to discovering who he was now.
