PHONE.

Jeff now going by Jennifer after becoming a teenage girl in the great shift wondered when she had become such a typical teenage girl.

She wondered when he had started calling himself she instead of he.

As she lay on the bed staring at her mobile phone wondering why her boyfriend had not phoned yet?

She could not phone him.

There was just a completely different type of etiquette to being a teenage girl instead of a teenage boy.

When she was a teenage boy you were expected to do all the chasing but as a teenage girl you are not supposed to look too eager in case it gave the boy the wrong idea.

So he just lay there staring at the phone at first feeling angry towards her boyfriend which was soon replaced with panic in case something had happened to him which in turn was replaced with defiance swearing to herself that if the phone was to ring now she would not answer.

Knowing full well she could not stay angry with him as she lay there staring at the phone waiting for it to ring.
