Scott before the great shift was a manly man.
There was nothing remotely feminine about him so people were surprised by the change that came over him after he landed in the body of a 23 year old woman.
As he almost immediately started dressing and acting completely feminine there was no sign of the old Scott left as he embraced his new identity completely.
So people weren't too surprised when he started dating.
It just took a bit of getting used to thinking of that beautiful woman kissing the man was actually Scott.
