Patrick swapped bodies with a single pregnant woman in the great shift and was not very happy with his new situation as there was nothing he enjoyed about being a woman especially one that was pregnant.
He was happy that the government had managed to track down the original inhabitant of his new body.
She was shifted into the body of a middle aged man.
He was surprised about all the medical check ups he had to go through & all the vitamin pills and exercises he had to do now he was pregnant & he especially hated the birth classes he did not want to know what he was going to have to go through.
He found it highly embarrassing when they started teaching about breastfeeding and nappy changing and what his body would go through after and during the birth.
He was happy when the original inhabitant of this body turned up and offered to help him through the last three months of his pregnancy which made Patrick feel a little bit better as he would not have to go through this alone.
The original plan was to give the baby up after it was born and he could go back to his normal life even though he would be in a different body for the rest of it.
But after 16 hours of labour and a hell of a lot of painkillers he gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
As he lay in the hospital bed tired weary and sore holding his new pressures charge soaking up the new baby smell as his new mothering Instincts took over he knew he could not give this baby up.
And with the original inhabitant of his new body standing there he told her so and in the short time they have spent together they knew they could raise this child as mother and father.
