It could have been worse.

Ok Mr Thompson your test results are back and your pregnancy is going well just keep taking vitamins & attending the birthing classes and everything will be alright.

Mr Thompson looked at the nurse and said would you like to be a man one minute and the next be a woman who's halfway through her pregnancy?

The nurse just smiled and said it could have been a lot worse at least you are still fit and healthy & you get to experience one of the greatest miracles of life.

Mr Thompson just looked at her and said I hate the great shift for doing this to me I don't even know who the father is & the woman who originally had this body is no use she is now a four year old boy & can only speak gibberish.

The nurse patted him on the hand and said you will feel different the minute you hold that baby in your arms for the first time and you will never want to be separated from it.


6 weeks later and after 12 hours in labour he lay in the hospital bed tired and sore holding the precious bundle in his arms knowing that the nurse was right and he was now a proud mother and no longer hated the great shift.
