The school swap & exchange program was supposed to allow students to experience the opposite gender and a different culture.
Richard was signed up to the program by his parents thinking it would do him some good to learn to live in somebody else's skin for 4 weeks.

Richard was excited at first at being a beautiful young woman in the United States but did not like the strict rules placed on him by her parents he was forced to shower in a blindfold & sleep in the same room as Jessica's mother in case he got any ideas of defiling her body.
