The Cultural Exchange Program.

Tony had never imagined that the Cultural Exchange Program would involve quite this kind of exchange.

The rules had seemed straightforward when he signed up: participants would temporarily experience life in another country, immersed completely in a different culture and paired with a local student who would serve as their guide and partner.

What nobody had adequately prepared him for was the final clause.

For the duration of the program, male participants would be swapped with female participants, and females with males. Each person would live in the Body of their assigned partner, experiencing not only their surroundings and culture but also their partner's physical reality.

Tony's assigned partner was Himarit, a twenty-year-old university student.

The moment the exchange was completed, Tony found himself staring at a completely unfamiliar reflection. Himarit's face stared back at him—her eyes, her features, her hair, her unmistakably feminine appearance. Even his voice sounded different when he tried to speak.

It was disorienting.

It was embarrassing.

And, if he was being completely honest with himself, it was fascinating.

There were certainly going to be problems. Clothing was suddenly an issue. Walking, sitting, sleeping, showering—even the simplest movements required him to adjust to a Body that seemed determined to remind him at every opportunity that it wasn't his own.

Yet Tony tried to remain optimistic.

The program lasted five years.

Five years was a long time, but not forever. He had survived difficult situations before. He could adapt. Humans were remarkably good at adapting.

Besides, how hard could it really be to live as a woman?

That confidence lasted considerably less time than he expected.

Himarit's Body had its own biological rhythms, sensations, and hormonal changes, none of which cared much about Tony's carefully constructed expectations. Within days, he began noticing subtle shifts in his mood, his energy, and even how he reacted emotionally to ordinary situations.

The hormones were proving to be far more influential than he had anticipated.

Tony could still think like himself. His memories were intact. His personality hadn't vanished.

But everything seemed amplified.

Emotions arrived faster and lingered longer. Small things could suddenly feel enormously important. His senses seemed sharper, while unfamiliar physical sensations constantly demanded his attention. The more he tried to dismiss the changes, the more impossible they became to ignore.

Before long, Tony found himself caught between two competing realities: the person he remembered being and the woman his new Body was gradually teaching him to become.

Five years suddenly didn't seem quite so simple.

Still, he told himself he could handle it.

He had to.

After all, this was only the beginning of the exchange.
