Joseph was in his room doing his college work when his mother unexpectedly entered, holding a tray of cookies and a glass of milk, and asked how he was.
Joseph was surprised and shocked as his mother had shown little interest in him over the years.
She apologised for being so remote and distant over the years, but her job was really important to her.
She knew she had done wrong and wanted to make up for it.
Joseph did not believe her.
Joseph ranked the milk and chatted with his mother as if they had never chatted before.
That night, Joseph had the worst stomach cramps in his life and could not help thinking his mother might have done something to him with the cookies and milk.
She had slipped a potion into the milk that would transform him into an exact copy of her.
When he awoke the next morning, he was a perfect copy of his mother.
Standing in front of the mirror naked, staring at his mother's naked reflection, he screamed like he had never screamed before.
His mother entered with some clothes and underwear, told him to get dressed, and then explained why she had done this to him.
She needed somebody to help her career along, somebody who could double the workload, fill in for her, and do the things she did not want to do, like interviews, red-carpet events, and meetings with her fans.
She told him the spell would only work on a blood relative, meaning it had to be him.
She told him the spell would give him all the knowledge he needed to live as her.
Joseph's head was spinning, and his heart was pounding.
From that day on, Joseph had been her little puppet, going out on red carpets, talking to her fans, giving interviews, and coping with the stresses and strains of being a woman.
