This was the place.

It had been an urban legend for years.

The curse was supposed to transform any man whose from the lake into a woman.

After three days of hiking and camping in the woods he came to a cave that led to an underground stream.

He followed the stream and was rewarded with stepping out of a beautiful sunny day in a hidden valley.

It would be warm sweet spinning and comfortable.

Everything about it was new fresh and delightful.

He felt like he would never want to leave there.

After exploring the hidden Valley he came to the lake in the centre of it.

Feeling hot to sticky and wanting to cool off he stripped off his clothes and ran into the water.

The water felt cool and relaxing and welcoming on his heart-sticky skin.

He felt all his cares and worries washed away as the water washed over him.

It was only when he accepted out of the water that he noticed the transformation that had happened to him.

He had indeed found the cursed lake.

It didn't turn men into women.

This did not seem to scare him.

It felt right to be this way.

It would be like some part of him had always been female and the water had just brought it to the surface.

Now he had to decide if he would return to the world he left behind or stay in the valley forever?
