When Samantha found out after many weeks of trying she could not have children due to a medical condition that could not be repaired she was devastated as she had always wanted to be a mother.
She was ashamed to tell her husband Peter who was looking forward to being a father that she could not have children.
She was frightened that this would end their relationship.
So she was surprised when she did pluck up the courage to tell him that he offered to be the one to have the baby.
She thought to herself why hadn't she thought of this solution.

She was surprised by his eagerness to buy baby clothes & set up the nursery.
She was surprised 8 and 1/2 months into his pregnancy by his request to make the swap permanent.
Apparently he wanted to have a large family now.
