But thanks to advances in modern medicine, they were able to rebuild his knee using nanotechnology.
With one slight little problem, his body reacted severely to them, and instead of just repairing his damaged knee, they rebuilt his whole entire body and turned him into what he would have been if he were born female.
Which did not ruin his career as much as he thought it would, as just a year after rehabilitation & counselling, he was back on the pitch, now playing for the female side and doing a lot better than he was when he was a man.
