It all began when he made the breakthrough that made it all work and which really pissed off his professor who had been working on it for years with little success.
His professor who was extremely jealous by his breakthrough pushed him into the temple manipulator they were working on so he could take all the glory for himself.
Which through his consciousness back in time & into the body of a woman which caused him to freak out.
He was a arrested for breach of the peace, resisting arrest and assaulting two officers.
Now lying on the uncomfortable police cell bed several hours after going back in time finding himself a woman and being arrested he had had time to think about what had happened to him.
Now all he had to worry about was getting out of the cell and finding a way to get himself back into his own body and time which was not going to be so easy in this primitive technological era.
He looked up from the uncomfortable bed as the jail door slid open and an officer with a very angry looking black eye shouted at him Mrs Williams your husband's here and you're being released into his custody.
Which was just another thing to be added to the list of things he now had to deal with.
