As far as he was concerned he was still in his small apartment probably lying unconscious.
So he tried to wake himself up by slapping himself in the face which hurt more than any punch he had ever had before and actually brought tears to his eyes.
He stood there Staring Down the highway thinking to himself what the hell is going on.
Still feeling slightly dizzy he thought it would be a good idea to get out of the middle of the road just in case this was not an hallucination.
He stepped forward and found himself toppling backwards.

Panic stricken and trying not to lose his mind he pulled himself back up onto his feet and with much effort started down the road looking for help unaware that he was just another victim of the great shift.
